Our Mission

Keeping Black dollars in our community.

"I grew up watching Black dollars leave our neighborhoods the second they were spent — showing up at businesses with the infrastructure to capture them, and never coming back around. The KIN App exists to put that same infrastructure in the hands of the independent, Black-owned businesses that are actually ours."

Where this comes from

I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, in the heart of some of the most prominent HBCUs in the country — Spelman College, Morehouse, and Clark Atlanta University. My community started out as John Hope, and later became University Homes. There weren't many Black-owned businesses around us back then, so our money went elsewhere — spent at businesses outside our community that never put a dime back into it. Those Black dollars left, and they never came back. That's the gap I set out to close.

The foundation of leadership

Over 13 years in field marketing and sales leadership — including Regional Manager at DSI Systems, Inc., collaborating with AT&T's National Account team across national retail and big-box chain doors throughout South Texas, building and scaling territory operations on enterprise platforms like DOMO, Repsly, and Sara+. Separately, I taught myself UX/UI design — the same skills I used to design and build The KIN App myself.

Bridging the digital gap

Major corporations capture markets with sophisticated digital tools — while local owners were left without the visibility to compete. Even premier partners like our first anchor, Haus Of Hairess, deserved that infrastructure. That's why I left corporate management to close the gap.

The vision for KINVEST Guidance

My mission is simple: put Black-owned businesses first, and keep Black dollars circulating in the neighborhoods that earned them. We're not just building a directory — we're deploying a full technology suite to modernize operations and protect that wealth, setting a new standard of Gold success and Green prosperity. Now across 29 U.S. cities, every business on The KIN App gets that same infrastructure to stabilize, scale, and lead their industry into the future.

Co-Founder's Statement

Jasmine Taylor

Co-Founder, KINVEST GUIDANCE LLC · Owner, Haus Of Hairess

Jasmine is a Co-Founder of KINVEST GUIDANCE and the owner of Haus Of Hairess, a luxury salon in Converse, Texas built on one belief: beautiful hair should never come at the expense of its health. That same care shows up in how she runs her business — luxury, rooted in health, not shortcuts.

Haus Of Hairess was the first business The KIN App was built with, not just for — every feature here, from KIN Quest to KINDEX scoring, got proven on her floor before anyone else ever saw it. It's a fitting place for that to have started: a real, Black-owned, family-run business putting the platform's own mission into practice before the mission had a name.
